Oaklyn Consulting Provides Strategic Advisory Services for Heurisay’s Acquisition by 5by5 Agency

Oaklyn Consulting congratulates its client Heurisay on the company’s recent sale to 5by5 Agency, which was announced Sept. 30.

Oaklyn Consulting delivered:

  • Strategic Guidance: Oaklyn Consulting provided background advice and counsel to Kristin Faulder, founder/CEO of Heurisay, as she negotiated her transaction with 5by5.
  • Limited, On-Call Advice: Oaklyn Consulting provided on-demand guidance for Faulder as she set the pace of negotiations with 5by5. She did not need to create a full auction for her business, so Oaklyn Consulting tailored its services around her specific transaction advisory needs.
  • Acqui-Hire Perspective: As part of the acquisition, Faulder will lead 5by5’s growing PR division in the role of vice president of public relations. The transaction enabled 5by5 to hire Faulder by, in part, merging her agency into 5by5. As such, the negotiation included aspects of both a business purchase and employment, with Oaklyn Consulting helping Faulder advance the two interlocking negotiations in a coordinated manner.

The transaction, the value of which was not disclosed, brings Heurisay, a Nashville-based PR firm, into 5by5 Agency, an employee-owned, award-winning marketing agency also based in Nashville. The acquisition will expand 5by5’s capabilities to provide integrated communications and public relations services to its clients.
