Veteran M&A Advisor Rob Tyndall Joins Oaklyn Consulting

Chattanooga-based investment banking and advisory firm Oaklyn Consulting announced today that veteran M&A advisor Rob Tyndall has joined the firm as a consultant. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tyndall will provide mission-critical advisory services to entrepreneurs and investors, while also facilitating strategic partnerships between Oaklyn Consulting and other financial services firms and professionals that help retain and enhance their relationships and revenue.

Tyndall comes to Oaklyn Consulting from Fifth Third Bank, where he served as managing director in the corporate and investment bank for six years. He was responsible for building and leading an advisory practice that worked with wealth advisors and commercial bankers to deliver capital strategies and IB solutions to their key relationships. His previous employers include Regions Bank, where he launched and built Regions Securities’ M&A advisory practice; Fidus and Avondale Partners, where he was managing director of M&A advisory practices for closely held and investor-backed middle market companies; and Bain & Company, where he was a consultant. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School.

“We’ve been pleased to serve as a referral partner for Rob’s investment banking clients in the past, and it’s always been a pleasure to work with him,” said Frank Williamson, founder of Oaklyn Consulting. “When the opportunity presented itself for us to bring him to Oaklyn Consulting as a consultant, we knew his skills and expertise would be a great fit for our clients in the lower middle market, while helping us build stronger bridges to referral partners within the investment banking community.”

In his previous investment banking roles, Tyndall referred clients to Oaklyn Consulting based on the firm’s long track record of success and his confidence that those situations would be handled well.

“Oaklyn Consulting became our go-to for client situations that weren’t a great fit for our capabilities, while allowing us to continue serving our clients and maintaining or growing those relationships,” Tyndall said. “We knew that by introducing Oaklyn Consulting, we were putting our valued relationships in good hands. Oaklyn Consulting is equipped to handle things that other referral partners can’t or don’t want to do.”
