Meet the Team: Rob Tyndall

Rob Tyndall headshot
Rob Tyndall is Oaklyn Consulting’s newest team member, previously serving as managing director of investment banking at Fifth Third Bank. At Oaklyn Consulting, he’ll be focusing on client advisory work and business development.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Being part of something greater than myself: the success of my clients and partners.

Why do you work at Oaklyn Consulting?
Unique solutions that solve a large set of unmet needs and untapped opportunities. I was a client for 10 years, and saw Oaklyn Consulting’s model in action time and time again. It was so compelling, I joined the firm.

What are your favorite pastimes outside of work?
Outdoor activities, games and cookouts with family and friends. Special bonus when there’s a guitarist or pianist to lead evening songs around the fire.

Why does Oaklyn Consulting’s work matter?
We help people successfully navigate what is often a once-in-a-lifetime event in their careers, creating a positive economic impact for clients and partners.

What TV show/movie/book/musical artist are you enjoying right now?
Person of Interest, recently. It’s an action series with great humor and suspense, against an eerily prescient backdrop of a powerful AI in the hands of a few human beings.

Secrets at the Footbridge is next on my reading list — it’s a new historical fiction novel by my uncle, Will Dunstan.

Hoping to hit Lollapalooza or a music festival featuring Leon Bridges this summer.

What do you think sets Oaklyn Consulting apart from other investment banking consultants?
We have a unique model that’s well-suited for diverse, complicated, challenging and special situations that would be otherwise unserved. Our model provides us the willingness and ability to say “yes” when others cannot. We enable our referral partners to maintain and grow their relationships, reputations and brands, but we also accelerate the development and success of our referral partners’ businesses and talent.

What’s your idea of a perfect meal?
Great company makes any food delicious.
